Every photographer has a story of how they fell in love with the art of photography. For me, it was when my dad brought home his first camera. I was about 12 years old and he walked in with a brand new Nikon F100 and about 20 rolls of film! Watching my father learn to take pictures was intoxicating and I was always ecstatic every time he would show me a little about his beloved Nikon. When I was 16, I got my first camera. A Nikon Coolpix 885 with a whopping 3 megapixel sensor and 16 megabit memory card. I was now ready to conquer the world, impress my friends, and 1-up my dad with his OLD, obsolete camera! Almost 20 years later, Dad still has his that film camera which kick serious butt if you can afford to develop film and I’m still passionate about photography. As a husband and father of four amazing children of my own, I love capturing those moment between moments that captures a person’s essence and preserves it for the next generations.
